Bipolar enucleation of the adenoma

Conducting the surgery

The surgery is most often performed under spinal anesthesia, and sometimes general anesthesia is used. The duration of the minimally invasive intervention is 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the adenoma.

An instrument is introduced through the urethra, and an examination of the urethra itself, its prostatic section (where the adenoma is located), and the bladder is performed. The adenoma is enucleated within its capsule using a bipolar element.

After the complete removal of adenoma remnants, a urethral catheter is inserted into the bladder, which is removed after 1-2 days.
